So last night me and Franks skipped home, 2 in the morning, pissed as a fart, hand in hand, gossiping and telling stories and laughing. It was like being 16 again. And that was really nice.
Plus I had a great night with some very funny and smart people. So smart we could have deep drunk conversations about world affairs and then discuss our favourite sharks and stuff. I saw some people I have known since birth and the guy I used to play star wars with at primary school, I would be Leia, not because I am a girl, well a little bit, but because I wanted to be unassuming yet dangerous, he was always han solo, and our friend darth David would ‘capture’ me and we would play out the whole rescue mission. We were only about 6 or 7 but we had the best time. This guy’s doing a phd now. I work at sainsburys.
People say they hate this town because it’s too small, the people are predictable, but it’s full of so many memories and good, amazing people, it’s hard to be anything but in love with it.
