mynameiselly answered your question: Hey look, us lowly standard class passengers get…
Nooooo! Where are you going/what’s up with you? :]
I am running away to my grandparents because home is a bit rubbish right now and as pretty as it is there, it’s not really big on normal human amenities, like wifi!

This is a little rushed because I have severely underestimated packing time and I’m catching an overnight train in about an hour, but my grandparents don’t have access to the internet, so I might not be able to post anything for a while. I’m sorry for being so unprepared - I meant to fill the queue with things but right now I’m glaring at the tumble dryer and praying my...
I just found my copy of William Morris’ News From Nowhere. Next to the word Morris I appear to have written, ‘is a douche’.

lmfapooaadss you are so excited about that sweater, it’s so cute! :D
Ahh but it’s so pretty! Or I don’t know, I never buy clothes or see clothes I like, I only like hats, most of the time I wish I was just a floating head. So when I do find clothes I like that I can actually put on my body...

When I decided to organize my home library I underestimated how many books I have. And I don’t mean that in a cute, “Look at all my books, reading is fun la la la let’s all dress up like Virginia Woolf” kind of way; I mean I have probably spent thousands of pounds at Waterstones in the last two years, and if I hadn’t done that then I wouldn’t have been living...

calilovesemma replied to your post: I’m dividing my books alphabetically and by genre….
you should take a picture. I need more books to add to my collection. And I like seeing other people’s books. :)
That’s so strange, I was just looking at my graphic novel section and how pretty it is and having this exact thought! When I’ve figured out plays, biographies, short stories and...

Advent by Patrick Kavanagh
We have tested and tasted too much, lover- Through a chink too wide there comes in no wonder. But here in the Advent-darkened room Where the dry black bread and the sugarless tea Of penance will charm back the luxury Of a child’s soul, we’ll return to Doom The knowledge we stole but could not use. And the newness that was in every stale thing When we looked at it as children: the spirit-shocking...

I’m dividing my books alphabetically and by genre. It’s taking a long time. I just threw Paradise Lost across the room because it wouldn’t fit on the poetry shelf.

You Should Read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte →
…Heathcliff is always described as mysterious but when he’s at his most Heathcliff he really isn’t; he’s one of the most open and raw characters of all time. Heathcliff first arrives at The Heights and we know absolutely nothing of who he is or where we come from or if he even knows himself - he never volunteers any information about his life before he came to Wuthering Heights; you get the...
I had a terrible argument with my Mum today, she just has this way of making me feel worthless and I’ve been saying it for so long but I need to get away. I think I’m going to stay with my grandparents for a while.

KATE: (calling) So, how long have you had this place?
KATE*: What?!
KATE: I said, how-how long have you been here?
KATE*: About five or sixth months.
KATE: Oh. Not that long then?
The sound of a toilet flushing and KATE* enters, buttoning up her jeans as she walks towards the bed.
KATE*: It feels like forever. I think it’s a horrible flat.
KATE: Really? Maybe if you unpacked, put some...
I have decided not to write a new ABOUT ME section and to instead let endearing tumblr user Sebastian aka hikikomoriganglife do it while I watch Spice World: The Movie.

I like to shower early. I guess I like to wake up early, have one of those full, productive days, but I also really like to sleep. So, when I can, I sort of launch myself out of bed at seven thirty and feel my way to the bathroom. Showering itself is almost my favourite thing to do because skin is so nice up close – when you’re washing it and staring at it. It’s only from far away that it becomes...

I’m watching The Blues Brothers on VHS for the first time in years. John Belushi just backflipped up the aisle, it was beautiful.
I used to watch this with my Dad when I was really young, I remember thinking that Carrie Fisher was super pretty with her flame thrower and and I remember trying to count the number of cars destroyed in the last fifteen minutes.
This film is so good man....

Let us go then, you and I, When the evening is spread out against the sky Like a patient etherized upon a table; Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets, The muttering retreats Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells: Streets that follow like a tedious argument Of insidious intent To lead you to an overwhelming question … Oh, do not ask,...

Alright, seriously, whatever happened to all girl pop rock group The Faders because they were so good, I remember being really into them AND the front lady with the red hair who was Midge Ure of Ultravox’s daughter, which is a fun piece of trivia. I should’ve bought their album, I think they could have gone the distance.
hikikomoriganglife replied to your post: Don’t come to Canada.
Where in Canada are you going?
Vancouver I think, we’re doing it with this work abroad company. I just want to meet Bo from Lost Girl really, I’m not sure exactly where that’s filmed though.

Anonymous asked: I just wanted to let you know that it pleases me to see someone (aka: you) write an 'About Me' that is actually entertaining and who doesn't come across as an aloof arsehole. That's all. I'm not sure if this matters or if you even care but it seemed relevant at the time.

Today I bought tickets to see Simon Amstell in May and I am really excited. He’s Britain’s greatest vulnerable comic with great hair and that’s really something.

(A Bathroom. NATALIE enters, followed by KATE. NATALIE walks to the mirror, she looks into it, touching her face lightly as she speaks.)
NATALIE: So…?
KATE: …So?
NATALIE: So stop being a bitch Kate! Tell me what you and that guy were talking about.
(pause)
Now.
KATE: We weren’t really talking about anything. Just… small talk or whatever. I don’t remember.

Wow, came home from a day at Penningtons and Jake’s house to thirty more followers than when I went to bed.
Hi.
Also I think I’m going to Canada.
