KATE: (calling) So, how long have you had this place? KATE*: What?! KATE: I said, how-how long have you been here? KATE*: About five or sixth months. KATE: Oh. Not that long then? The sound of a toilet flushing and KATE* enters, buttoning up her jeans as she walks towards the bed.  KATE*: It feels like forever. I think it’s a horrible flat. KATE: Really? Maybe if you unpacked, put some...

I have decided not to write a new ABOUT ME section and to instead let endearing tumblr user Sebastian aka hikikomoriganglife do it while I watch Spice World: The Movie.

I like to shower early. I guess I like to wake up early, have one of those full, productive days, but I also really like to sleep. So, when I can, I sort of launch myself out of bed at seven thirty and feel my way to the bathroom. Showering itself is almost my favourite thing to do because skin is so nice up close – when you’re washing it and staring at it. It’s only from far away that it becomes...

I’m watching The Blues Brothers on VHS for the first time in years. John Belushi just backflipped up the aisle, it was beautiful. I used to watch this with my Dad when I was really young, I remember thinking that Carrie Fisher was super pretty with her flame thrower and and I remember trying to count the number of cars destroyed in the last fifteen minutes. This film is so good man....

Let us go then, you and I, When the evening is spread out against the sky Like a patient etherized upon a table; Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets, The muttering retreats Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells: Streets that follow like a tedious argument Of insidious intent To lead you to an overwhelming question … Oh, do not ask,...

Alright, seriously, whatever happened to all girl pop rock group The Faders because they were so good, I remember being really into them AND the front lady with the red hair who was Midge Ure of Ultravox’s daughter, which is a fun piece of trivia. I should’ve bought their album, I think they could have gone the distance.

hikikomoriganglife replied to your post: Don’t come to Canada. Where in Canada are you going? Vancouver I think, we’re doing it with this work abroad company. I just want to meet Bo from Lost Girl really, I’m not sure exactly where that’s filmed though.

Anonymous asked: I just wanted to let you know that it pleases me to see someone (aka: you) write an 'About Me' that is actually entertaining and who doesn't come across as an aloof arsehole. That's all. I'm not sure if this matters or if you even care but it seemed relevant at the time.

Today I bought tickets to see Simon Amstell in May and I am really excited. He’s Britain’s greatest vulnerable comic with great hair and that’s really something.

(A Bathroom. NATALIE enters, followed by KATE. NATALIE walks to the mirror, she looks into it, touching her face lightly as she speaks.) NATALIE: So…? KATE: …So? NATALIE: So stop being a bitch Kate! Tell me what you and that guy were talking about. (pause) Now. KATE: We weren’t really talking about anything. Just… small talk or whatever. I don’t remember. ...

KATE: I hate gaining weight, I can feel my body expanding. I mean, I can actually feel it and it’s terrible. KATE*: Why does that matter? You started expanding the moment you were born, before too. Everything about you is going to move outwards, like an explosion in slow motion, until it doesn’t anymore. Dying is a crunch; the same thing but working in towards the middle. Every person...
